The rules we hold ourselves to when we publish anything about Learmonth and its district.
Verification before publication
We do not publish opening hours, prices, contact details, accessibility claims, lake conditions, event dates or business descriptions we have not verified. Factual records carry a named source and a last-verified date, and records still under review are held out of the published site entirely rather than published with gaps.
Original writing
Our summaries and guides are written by us from verified information. We do not copy descriptions from business websites, tourism bodies or other publishers.
History and cultural material
Historical statements are drawn from published sources, principally the Victorian Heritage Database and the Victorian Places gazetteer, and are attributed. We do not publish Aboriginal cultural heritage material, including an Acknowledgement of Country, until wording and Traditional Owner information have been appropriately confirmed.
